Rip Curl Planet

RIP CURL PLANET

When Brian Singer and Doug “Claw” Warbrick founded Rip Curl in 1969, they had one clear vision: to be regarded as the Ultimate Surfing Company.

From the start, they understood that achieving this meant more than just making great products for the Search. It meant doing right by the people and places that shape who we are.

With that in mind, they established a set of core values to guide Rip Curl, placing Community and Environment at the heart. This led to the creation of Rip Curl Planet in 2008, an initiative dedicated to driving sustainability, engagement, and innovation.
Today, we lead a range of initiatives across product development to reduce waste, lower energy use, and prioritise preferred materials.

As a B Corp, we’re committed to fair and ethical business practices, reducing our impact, and doing better for both people and the planet. You can learn more about Rip Curl’s sustainability initiatives under Rip Curl Planet’s four key pillars.
